Practice!  Practice!  Practice!

WWMS orchestra students are required to hand in practice records every Monday during the regular school year, signed by a parent documenting how many minutes they have practiced during the week.   Each day the practice record is late, results in a one point reduction.  Students are required to practice at least 60 minutes a week for the maximum number of points. (10)   Students may use the practice record form that was distributed during class or make their own.

Scale Club

Wilbur Wright Middle School Students are hard at work learning their scales.  A grant from the Munster Education Foundation has provided rewards for the students as they master their scales, arpeggios and thirds from the "Essentials for Strings" book by Gerald Anderson.   Seventh and eighth grade orchestra students are working on major scales this year.   Eighth grade students who finish major scales will work on minor scales.
