MUNSTER HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

PARKING REGISTRATION 2013 – 2014 SCHOOL YEAR

Students this week will be able to register for parking for next year.  Over the years, parents have voiced concerns about their students arriving to school that early and the impact on the school day.  This year, the school will debut a lottery for parking spaces, which the forms can be picked up in Student Services.  To enter into the lottery a student must:

    Have a valid student ID

    Complete the driving application with vehicle information and parent signatures

    Have a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit

    Pay the $3 parking fee in advance (cash singles would be best)

Juniors and sophomores will fill out a small ticket during lunch.  These tickets will be separated by class.  The juniors will be pulled first and their requests will be honored as much as possible.  Sophomore tickets will be pulled next.  Students will claim their parking at registration in the summer.  Students are not allowed to swap or switch spaces.  Any attempts to do so will result in both students losing their parking privileges.

Remember:  Students have a window to enter the lottery during their lunch period.  They are not allowed to be released from their Study Halls to register for parking!!!

ATHLETICS

GIRLS GOLF:  There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 28^th at 2:55 pm in N191 for any girls wishing to try out in the fall for the 2013 Girls Golf Team.  The meeting will take approximately 15 minutes and attendance is mandatory.  If you have any questions please see Coach Smitka in N191.

POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL:  Attention Sophomore &/Junior girls if you are interested in participating in the 4^th Annual Power Puff football game during Homecoming week, please stop and see Mrs. LaPorte S120 for a permission slip.  Slips are due by Tuesday, May 28^th in order to get teams ready for the 2013 Powder Puff game.  No one will be allowed to sign up when we return to school in August.  Also, please check with your fall coaches to see if you are eligible to participate. 

BOYS SOCCER:  CHANGE!!!  There will be a call-out meeting on Tuesday, May 21^st at 3:00 pm in Coach Prasopoulos’s classroom, N125.   This is a very important meeting to attend if you plan on trying out for the team in August.

CLUBS

COLOR GUARD:  There will be a call-out meeting for any girls or guys in grades 9-11 interested in joining next year’s 2013 MHS Color Guard on Thursday, May 23^rd at 3:00 pm.  For more information or if you cannot attend the meeting, please contact Mr. Winternheimer.

SENIOR PANORAMIC PICTURE:  The Panoramic picture will be taken on Tuesday, May 28^th at 11:00 am in full commencement regalia at Graduation Practice in the Fieldhouse.  ACC students will be excused from Career Center for that day per Dr. Gilworth.  All seniors will eat lunch from 10:30 am to 11:00 am then immediately report to the Fieldhouse.  Picture envelopes will be distributed closer to the date of picture.
