Happy New Year to everyone! I hope that 2012 brings you the best of everything!
Our January PTO meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, Jan 18 at 9 am. The meeting agenda is attached and the draft minutes from the November meeting are posted on the FHH website under the PTO link.

Other reminders:
· School Days:
o Jan 13 (Friday) is a Teacher Work Day – so that means NO SCHOOL for students!
o Jan 16 (Monday) IS A SCHOOL DAY. We are in session on Monday.
· Quarter 2 final grades will be posted to PowerParent on January 19th. Remember to login to PowerParent to check your child’s progress.
· Spirit Days
o Jan 20th is Super Hero Day! Super Heroes represent the best characteristics… they do the right thing, are always kind, and help others…. So wear your favorite SuperHero gear, t-shirt, or colors!
o Feb 3rd is Crazy Sock Day! Roll up your pant legs and show off your craziest socks!
· Market Day – submit your Market Day to the office by Jan 19th, (or submit online by Jan 20th ) for Jan 24th pick up date.
· Closed Lunch Dates – we can’t accommodate visitors on these dates:
o Feb 14th – Valentine Bag Lunch Day
o Feb 29th – Leap Year Lunch
o March 23 – Beach Day
· Yearbook orders are due Feb 3rd.
·
Winter Weather – remember that the School Town of Munster
will be using the School Messenger phone and email system, webpage postings, and
WJOB radio to communicate any weather related announcements.
Winter weather will also mean that the parking lots will be a little bit slower
and a little bit more hectic each day. Please follow procedures and be safe
around our children at all times.
· Testing Windows- perfect attendance is very important during these dates:
o Terra Nova – (Grades 3 and 5) – Jan 23-Feb 3
o Terra Nova – (Grade 2) – March 5-14
o ISTEP Open Ended (Grades 3-5) – March 5-14
o ISTEP Multiple Choice (Grades 3-5) – April 30-May 9
